Naka
Naka is a prefix used in Filipino/Tagalog to describe appearance. Let me ask you this — What are you wearing today? Let's do this in Taglish, or Tagalog-English to make it a lot easier. Let's use the prefix naka with English words.
Me: So, what are you wearing today?
You: I just woke up. And I'm not going anywhere so naka pajama ako, naka loose white shirt, at (and) naka slipper.
You: What about you? I know you're going to do your groceries today. Are you about to go?
Me: Yes. I'm about to go. Naka leggings ako, naka blue shirt, at naka shoes— my favorite shoes.
Me: And it's hot today so naka hat ako.
Next, this prefix is used to describe position.
Let's continue with examples below.
Me: You should get up now and have something to eat — breakfast.
You: Oo (Yes). I'm already here in the kitchen, nakaupo (sitting down).
